Samantha worked as a medical assistant in an orthopedic surgeons office, a family practitioner's office, and a gastroenterology practice. Samantha started college at the University of Miami where she was a member of the pre-med Alpha Epsilon Delta Medical Society and volunteered in the Emergency Room at Jackson Memorial Hospital in downtown Miami. Samantha moved to Charleston, South Carolina, where she worked at Roper Hospital as an endoscopy procedural tech. She obtained a certification as a nursing assistant as well as a certification from the Medical University of South Carolina as a specialist for technical endoscopy procedures called Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography procedures.
Once Samantha decided to attend law school instead of pursuing a career in medicine, she moved back to Florida, and changed her major in college from a triple major in chemistry, biochemistry, and biology, to a major in Economics. Samantha graduated Cum Laude with a bachelors degree in Economics from the University of South Florida in 2004.
Samantha next attended law school at Florida Coastal School of Law where she graduated with her Juris Doctorate degree in 2007. After passing the bar, Samantha was accepted into a six month grant program, working as a civil attorney for the less fortunate at the Jacksonville Area Legal Aid in the predatory lending department. Once the grant expired, she accepted a position as an Assistant State Attorney for the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit in Bay County, Florida. Samantha was a criminal prosecutor for the State of Florida for over two years when she was fortunate enough to have been offered a position at the law office of Perry & Young, P.A. in July of 2010.
Having a broad medical background and a desire to help people in need, personal injury was a natural fit. Under the expert guidance and tutelage of Mr. Larry Perry and Mr. Chris Young, Samantha has already become a successful advocate for our clients and she was even able to obtain a multi-million dollar judgment within her first year of practice at the firm. Samantha's practice includes cases from all areas of personal injury; however, her primary area of practice is medical malpractice, auto accidents, and wrongful death.
