Florida crash kills 2 drivers and speed may be a factor

Most Florida residents are aware that the reckless conduct of one party can cause injuries and death to others who share the roadway. An investigation was launched into the death of two people in a recent incident. The two individuals died after being involved in a violent crash that was investigated by the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to reports, the deadly accident happened on a recent Monday morning. Reportedly, the driver of a Ford Mustang was traveling in the westbound direction and operating at an excessive rate of speed up until the crash. The vehicle slammed head-on with a Chevy pickup truck, killing both of the drivers. When authorities arrived at the scene, both of the vehicles were almost unable to be recognized.

Authorities believe that speed was a contributing factor to the crash. No other occupants were in either of the vehicles. No other details surrounding this accident have been reported.

A car crash is a traumatic experience for most victims. This is especially true for family members who have lost their loved ones due to someone else's conduct. Depending on the outcome of this investigation, the family of the deceased driver of the Chevy may have the right to initiate legal action by filing a wrongful death claim against the estate of the other deceased driver. A successfully litigated claim may result in a Florida civil courtroom awarding financial relief to the family members in an amount that is deemed appropriate, so long as evidence shows that the other party was negligent.
