Florida mother and child killed in crash, along with 2 others

A 2-year-old girl and her mother never made it home from a recent Christmas shopping trip. They, along with the woman driving the vehicle in which they were traveling, were killed in a crash that happened on a Florida roadway on their way home. Florida Highway Patrol says that the other driver was traveling in the wrong direction.

According to reports, a 32-year-old male was operating an SUV on a state highway in Central Florida. He was driving the wrong way on the roadway when his vehicle crashed head on into the other vehicle. Both the mother and her child were killed, along with both of the drivers. Authorities are still trying to find out more information as to why the driver of the SUV was driving the wrong way.

The family of the woman says that she was pursuing a career as a registered nurse and was a certified nursing assistant. She was also planning on returning to college in January. The accident is still being investigated and police are also working to determine if the other driver may have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Unfortunately, innocent lives were taken in this tragedy. When a fatal crash like this happens, surviving families are usually left with emotional turmoil and may wonder what their legal rights are. The families of the deceased victims may have the right to file wrongful death claims against the driver of the SUV for their losses. Wrongful death compensation may provide financial stability to families who are left with unexpected expenses.
