Florida teens killed in crash that killed other driver, hurt 6

Motorists who drive negligently present dangerous risks to others on Florida roadways. The risks are usually car accidents that can leave people injured or, even worse, dead. One recent crash on U.S. 90 killed three people were killed and left six injured.

The accident happened in the early hours of New Year's Day. Authorities report that a 17-year-old driver passed another vehicle in the eastbound lane. The teen driver did not make it back to the correct lane, and his car collided head-on with an SUV. The teen driver and his passenger, also 17, were killed at the scene. The driver of the SUV also died at the scene.

The occupants in the SUV, all members of the same family from Lake County, suffered serious injuries and were taken to area hospitals for treatment. The exact nature and details of their conditions were not released. No other information regarding this matter was reported.

This tragic crash has life-changing consequences for the deceased's families and those who were seriously injured. The family of the SUV driver and the deceased passenger in the teen's car retain the right to file wrongful death claims in Florida against the estate of the car driver to seek a monetary judgment for financial losses. Any separate owner of the car may also be named as a defendant. The individuals who were injured have similar rights to pursue personal injury claims against the teen's estate for pain and suffering, medical expenses and other applicable damages. An experienced personal injury attorney in Florida can advise families and victims of their rights and help in pursuing available legal options.
