You took your time and did everything right when you chose the assisted living home in Panama City your elderly loved one now lives in. However, you suspect they are being abused or mistreated in some way that has resulted in mild to severe injuries over the course of the last few months. Although you may not want to make any accusations without proof, here are some things you can do to if you if suspect nursing home negligence and abuse.

Signs you may have a traumatic brain injury

If you or someone you love has been injured because of someone else's negligence, it's vital that proper medical care is given to determine if there are any long-lasting effects that may influence your future. Some injuries may not even show up right away, including traumatic brain injuries, which can be completely debilitating or life-threatening if not handled correctly. Per the National Institute of Health, some symptoms may show up immediately while others may not appear for several weeks after the accident. The following are signs to watch for if your or someone close to you has been in an accident that may have caused a TBI.

The liabilities of Anheuser-Busch

Anheuser-Busch - which owns Budweiser, Michelob, Rolling Rock, Busch, Shock Top, and other beer brands - has, over the years, been the cause of many injuries. Not surprisingly, it has also been the subject of many lawsuits, many of them filed after individuals drank excessively and then hurt themselves.

Car Erupts into Flame Leaving a Local Man Dead

On September 22, 2015 a chain of cars were stopped in the early moring traffic on US Highway 231. As Kyle Junger, of Panama City, approached the gridlock he failed to realize that traffic was stopped. Junger's vehicle crashed into a 2015 Dodge Pro-Van which was being driven by Leroy Rygula.
The initial crash caused Rygula's vehicle to slam into the vehicle stopped in front of him and the chain reaction continued to multiple vehicles stopped in the traffic ahead.
Shortly after the crash flames erupted from two of the vehicles. Leroy Rygula's vehicle was one of those that caught fire and, tragically, he was unable to escape with his life.
Within moments, emergency responders from multiple agencies flooded the scene. Police were not the only investigators on the scene that day. At the family's request, the Perry & Young Go Team was rapidly dispatched. Our investigators worked to preserve evidence and begin their investigation from its beginning, not months later. The importance of finding a local law firm with resources such as the Go Team cannot be overstated. If you or someone you know faces such a tragedy, place your trust in the team that will fight for you! #TeamPY #GoTeam
