Bio
Sam Watford was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida. After graduating from Lincoln High School, Sam attended Florida State University. While pursuing his undergraduate education, Sam worked as an assistant at Brooks, LeBoeuf, Foster & Gwartney, a personal injury law firm in Tallahassee, and interned in the Florida House of Representatives. In 2019, Sam graduated cum laude from Florida State University and was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Finance.
Sam attended law school at the Florida State University College of Law, where he was editor of the Business Law Review, recipient of the book award in Advanced Legal Research, and winner of the Distinguished Pro Bono Service Award. Upon his graduation from law school and admission to the Florida Bar in 2022, Sam began practicing law at Brooks, LeBoeuf, Foster & Gwartney, where he gained valuable experience in the litigation of personal injury, nursing home neglect, and employment law matters. He additionally oversaw the firm’s landlord tenant practice, in which he represented numerous property owners throughout the state of Florida.
In February 2024, Sam joined Perry & Young as an associate attorney in its Tallahassee office. He is licensed to practice in the state courts of Florida and has represented individuals and businesses in the Tallahassee area and the Florida Panhandle. Sam is a member of the Florida Justice Association, the Capital City Justice Association, and the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar.
When he is not serving clients, Sam can be found playing tennis, supporting his beloved Seminoles, or enjoying the beach with his wife, Elizabeth, and their two dogs, Cooper and Thor.
